Bücher die ich gerade lese
1. Paneele Shane - You Look Like A Thing And I Love You - Ein Buch über AI für Noobs wie mich. Lag lange im Schrank bis ich festgestellt habe, dass es für mich einen kreativen Mehrwert darstellt. Hier einige generierte Eiskrem-Sorten, von einer AI die vorher Metallband-Namen generiert hat: „Swirl of Hell", "Person Cream", "Nightham Toffee", "Blood Pecan", "Blackberry Burn", "The Butterfire".
2. Mein Buchkonsum ist gerade drastisch reduziert, weil ich sehr wichtige Dinge auf YouTube gucke: Die Turn-EM, Sauerteig-Videos und DIY-Inneneinrichtung

Ausstellungen/Veröffentlichungen
Das British Journal of Photography hat ein Buch mit dem Titel "Portrait of Humanity Vol.3“ herausgebracht. Es beinhaltet 200 Fotografien von zeitgenössischen Fotografen, ich bin einer davon. Anbei ein Link mit mehr Infos, das Buch könnt ihr in diesem Internet oder im Buchhandel bestellen. Ich verdiene daran nicht mit, mag aber das Format und finde es ist eine gute Momentaufnahme im Zeitgeschehen.
Technik-Nerd-Ecke
Nerd-Frage-des Monats: Nach über neun Jahren plane ich einen Rückfall in die analoge Fotografie. Zart und langsam und noch ohne Plan. In die Dunkelkammer will ich nicht mehr, aber den Fotografieteil will ich mir doch wieder aneignen. Ist jemand von euch gerade noch analog aktiv und kann mal bei Fragen aushelfen? Ich will erstmal mit Kleinbild starten. Später will ich dann unbedingt meine alte Plaubel Makina Compur ausführen, suche da aber noch nach geeigneten Objektiven.
Lieblingsequipment: Mein 5-in-1-Reflektor. Ja, ich bin ein Blitzfan, aber was man alles mit so einem ollen Reflektor hinbekommt ist doch der Wahnsinn. Ich nehm ihn gern als Diffusor mit, wenn ich keine Softboxen schleppen kann. Schwarzen Molton drüber geworfen und fertig. Was ich noch nicht gefunden habe ist eine gute Möglichkeit Waben an meinem Diffusor zu befestigen. Jemand ne Idee?
Projektvorstellung
Die Serie, um die es dieses mal geht ist eine Künstler-Kollaboration. Manchmal, wenn ich den Kopf freikriegen will mache ich Spaziergänge mit einer digitalen Lochkamera, die schemenhafte, unscharfe Schwarz/weiß-Bilder produziert. Letztes Jahr im ersten Lockdown habe ich lange Telefonate mit Ruth Bibel Bickhardt geführt (Website). Ich saß in Berlin fest und sie saß bei sich und wir kamen darauf aus ihren Radierungen und meinen Lochkamera-Bildern gemeinsame Bilder zu schaffen. Über das letzte Jahr sind so über vierzig Arbeiten entstanden. Eine Auswahl seht ihr hier. Ich will gar nicht viele Worte dazu verlieren, ich finde die Bilder sprechen für sich und sie sind mir sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Es ist meine erste Kollaboration im Foto Bereich und ich habe so viel Neues gelernt.

Books I'm reading right now

2. my book consumption is drastically reduced right now because I'm watching very important things on YouTube: the European gymnastics cup, sourdough videos and DIY interior design (oh god, I'm a living lockdown cliché)
Exhibitions/Publications
The British Journal of Photography has published a book called Portrait of Humanity Vol.3. It includes 200 photographs by contemporary photographers, I am one of them. Attached is a link with more about the background, you can order the book in this thing called internet or in bookstores. I don't make any money from it, but I like the format and think it's a good capture of this moment in time.
Tech Nerd Corner
Nerd Question-of-the-Month: After more than nine years, I'm planning a throwback to analog photography. Tentatively and slowly and still without a plan. I don't want to go into the darkroom anymore, but I do want to get back into the photography part. Is anyone of you still active in analog and can help out with questions? I want to start with 35mm. Later I want to use my old Plaubel Makina Compur, but I'm still looking for suitable lenses.
Favorite equipment: My 5-in-1 reflector. Yes, I'm a flash fan, but what you can do with such an old reflector is amazing. I like to use it as a diffuser when I can't carry softboxes. Black Molton thrown over it and its ready. What I haven't found yet is a good way to attach honeycombs to my diffuser. Anyone have any ideas?
Project introduction
The series I'm talking about this time is an artist collaboration. Sometimes when I want to clear my head I take walks with a digital pinhole camera that produces shadowy, blurry black and white images. Last year in the first lockdown, I had long phone conversations with Ruth Bibel Bickhardt (website). I was stuck in Berlin and she was sitting at her place and we came up with creating joint images out of her etchings and my pinhole images. You can see the result here. I don't want to say too many words about it, I think the pictures speak for themselves and they are very close to my heart. It's my first collaboration in the photo field and I learned so many new things.
